Located on the edge of a golf course the hotel is better explored in cold weather conditions. This is exemplified by our first trip there in August of 2005. When we were spotted inside by what I can only assume was employees at the country club. I was separated from the group but I approximate that around the same time we spotted people coming at us from the course. They quickly got inside and I still hadn't found my group. The people now in the same building as me, were approaching where I was quickly I managed to get onto a balcony as they passed by and checked the room I had just been in after they passed by down to the next floor I followed behind then as they traveled the massive hotel. After looping around several times, I exited out the front side of the building and tried calling Keti; the Catskills are impossible to get a signal to make a phone call. Eventually I was able to get through, and we made a plan that I would locate the men trying to catch us and let my group know when it was safe to go. When I found them I called back and told my group to get the hell out because and we all met up at the car and got out of there. It was a very close call.
